about the girl
Hailing from Belfast in Northern Ireland,  cultnirvana has been anime and manga obsessed for over six years (with a number of years of interest beforehand). She basically loves all genres of animanga, but believes that there is not enough josei in this world. She has also been known to get quite fangirlish over certain series/ships. When it comes to shipping, she doesn't care whether they are het, BL or GL as to her the most important aspect is the strength of the love story.
Other than anime, she doesn't watch that much TV, other than TNG and DS9 repeats and a few choice comedy and drama shows. She is, however, a big reader and one of those strange kids who loved Shakespeare in school. At the minute she's more into Asian lit. and is trying to read more modern fiction. She used to be reasonably well known for her fanfiction, and is trying to get back into writing.
She has recently graduated from uni, with a BSc Hons degree in Interactive Multimedia Design, and is currently working as a web/graphic designer.

MY ANIME LIST // A list of most of the anime cultnirvana has watched in her years of otaku-dom. Constantly updated as she gets her hands on yet more series. Apparently the length of the list is a little frightening (at least it scares her o.O). More can be seen on her LJ Watched & Read List, including what manga she has read so far.
MANGA COLLECTION // A list of the manga cultnirvana has bought over the past few years.
DVD COLLECTION // A list of the anime DVDs cultnirvana has bought over the past few years. Not that long as university greatly drained her finances for a number of years (this will change now she has a good job) and she concentrates more on manga.

ALTRUISM: A SUMERAGI SUBARU SHRINE // A shirne devoted to one of cultnirvana's favourite manga/anime characters, Sumeragi Subaru from the fabulous Tokyo Babylon (her favourite manga) and X/1999. Currently being updated with Tsubasa news.
FANFICTION.NET // Contains cultnirvana's old attempts at fanfiction. She may or may not get back to writing, depending on time restrictions and her other interests.
ON A CLEAR DAY... // A website dedicated to the animanga Kare Kano/His and Her Circumstances. The design and all written content have been created by cultnirvana.
GOLDEN SMILE, SILVER TEARS // The first website cultnirvana ever created. It is no longer being updated, but as this site was a labour of love for so long, it'll remain live.
friending policy
Very few of cultnirvana's entries are friends locked. She's always looking to meet new people and will friend most of those who friend her, but they must:
- have a few of the same interests,
- be open-minded. As you can see from her interests, she's a stubborn liberal lefty,
- be respectful of hers and, more importantly, her friends' opinions,
- nOT TyPE LIk THis. She has a hatred of L33T speak and purposely bad grammar/punctuation.
- know about LJ cuts and actually use them when posting large images! Large images in posts mess up custom layouts.
- Be of a reasonable age. If you are under 18, unless you are more mature than your years, you will most likely not be added back.
